Nantes starts the season with two draws, while Lille drops points in their second game of the season. Ismaily’s goal in the 76th minute saved Lille from a defeat at Nantes.
Rennes picked up a point after opening day defeat to Lorient, while Monaco drops points after a 2-1 win at Strasbourg. Breel Embolo’s goal in the 72nd minute saved Monaco from a defeat to Rennes in their first home game of the new season. It finished as a 1-1 draw.
Monaco played with a numerical disadvantage from the 15th minute after Youssouf Fofana was sent off after a straight red card for a reckless challenge. Wissam Ben Yedder was subbed off two minutes later for tactical reasons. Axel Disasi missed a penalty sixteen minutes later to deny Monaco a first-half lead.
In Paris St. Germain’s opening home match of the season, Neymar contributed a hattrick in a 5-2 win against Montpellier to make it two wins from two games.
The match between Lorient and Lyon was postponed because of the state of the pitch at Stade Moustoir. According to Lyon’s official website, between August 6, 2022, and August 11, 2022, the venue was host to 8 events. We will have to wait to see the reschedule plans (if any).
Newly promoted Ajaccio gained their first point of the season after holding on to a goalless draw at home with Lens.
Newly promoted Auxerre also gained their first league point after losing a 2- goal lead. They played from the 57th minute with 10 men but Auxerre had the opportunity to take the three points.
Newly-promoted Toulouse is still unbeaten after leaving Troyes with three points from a 3-0 win. Troyes is without points.
Clermont found four second-half goals to recover a win at Reims after going 2- 0 down in the opening 30 minutes.
Marseille dropped points in their first away game by allowing Brest to get an equalizing goal for their first point.
