The French Ligue 1 after 12 rounds.
The occupants of the top four positions remained as they are with some positional changes.
Paris St. Germain’s lead grew by a point. They take an 8-point lead in the title race after Lens defeat at Lyon.
Nice used a victory at Angers to move up a position and replace Lens in second-place.
Lens dropped two positions down to fourth while Marseille’s victory in the final match of the round handed them third.

Victory against Lens allowed Lyon to move up three positions to 6th.
Rennes keeps 5th place by gaining a point at Troyes.
Nantes and Monaco dropped two spots down; Nantes to 9th and Monaco to 10th.

The bottom three teams coming into the round avoided defeat.
Brest won their first of the season to leave Saint-Etienne as the only team without a win.

PARIS ST. GERMAIN 2-1 LILLE
Angel Di Maria got the winning goal in the 88th minute after assisting Marquinhos in the equalizing goal in the 74th minute to get Paris St. Germain a victory against Lille.
Lille did enough to lead by multiple goals in the first half but didn’t take advantage of their chances.

METZ 1-1 SAINT-ETIENNE
Wahbi Khazri scored from long range to get Saint-Etienne even on the scoreboard.
Saint-Etienne remains at the bottom of the standings without a win.

LYON 2-1 LENS
After blowing away a two-goal lead to suffer a defeat at Nice, Lyon used a two-goal first-half lead to pick up the three points at home against a Lens team that was looking for the points to protect their second-place position in the standings.

ANGERS 1-2 NICE
Andy Delort’s goals brought Nice from a position of defeat to a deserved victory at Angers. Delort’s second goal came in the first minute of the final additional minutes.

BORDEAUX 3-2 MAINZ
Bordeaux came from two goals down to win at home throw Jimmy Briand’s penalty goal in the depths of the final additional minutes.
The result allowed Bordeaux to equal Reims in matches won while moving a point above in the standings

MONTPELLIER 2-0 NANTES
Montpellier evenly divided their opening 12 matches into 4 wins, 4 draws, and 4 defeats after using a victory to move a point behind Nantes in the standings.

STRASBOURG 4-0 LORIENT
Habiba Diallo scored two at the end of the first half to get Strasbourg on a 3- 0 lead to take to the break

BREST 2-0 MONACO
Brest first victory of the season came against a Monaco side that was looking for the points to close in on the top six

CLERMONT 0-1 MARSEILLE
A narrow victory end Marielle’s run of successive draws while kicking off a new stretch of successive defeats for Clermont
