Only Paris St. Germain found a win over the weekend in Ligue 1
Lille’s lead in the title race is narrowed to a point.
Paris St. Germain replaced Lyon in second place.
Lyon fell to 3rd.
Monaca picked up a point to remain in 4th.

Nimes climbed from the bare bottom of the league standings after beating Dijon. Dijon takes the bare bottom spot in the standings.

Mosie Kean’s goal in the 76th minute allowed Paris St. Germain the maximum points at home against Nice.

Lyon had the chances to win, but Montpellier were more clinical and took advantage of theirs. Montpellier picked up a 2-1 win at Lyon.


While Terem Moffi on two occasions to get Lorient in front, Wissam Ben Yedder scored on two occasions to get Monaco level against Lorient.
Monaco failed to get a win at home against a relegation-threatened Lorient. This was the first set of league points dropped by Monaco in 8 matches; and 5 league games without defeat for Lorient.

Nantes were two goals up in the opening 7 minutes at Angers. They went on to get the only goal of the second half to leave Angers as 3-1 winners.

In the battle between the two bottom teams, Nimes won the match in the final 15 minutes of regulation time. Nimes with a game in hand took three points from Dijon after a 2-0 win.

Adrien Thomasson’s goals brought Strasbourg from a goal down to win at Metz. First league win for Strasbourg in 5 games.

It was against the run of play but Saint-Etienne picked up three points at Rennes with a 2-0 victory. Saint-Etienne are 4 league games unbeaten, while Rennes goes 4 league games without a win.

Lille were held to a goalless draw at home by Brest.

Marseille limped out of Bordeaux with a point after playing the majority of the second half with 9-men. It’s 7 league games without a win for Marseille.
