Marseille made themselves a bit comfortable in second place by pulling three points away from Rennes.
Strasbourg moved up a position to 4th following their victory against Lens, while Nice dropped a position to 5th.

Nantes comes out on top after a thrilling second-half to beat Clermont Foor by 3 goals to 2.
The defending champions could not find a win at home from the team at the bottom of the league. Even with the numerical advantage from the 35th minute, Lille could only get a point from a goalless draw with Bordeaux.
Tete’s goal decided the game for Lyon to take a 3-2 win against Angers.
Paris St. Germain’s response to their defeat against Monaco was to thrash Lorient with 5 goals.
Metz put up a good fight but Monaco followed up their win against PSG with another. Monaco left Metz with three points from a 2-1 win.
Marseille came from a goal down to get the three points from a 4-2 win over a Saint-Etienne side that needs the points to ensure survival.
Marseille needed the points to ensure their Champions League qualification.
Saint-Etienne needed the points to ensure their safety.
