French Ligue1

The French Ligue 1 after 20 rounds: The ‘top four’ teams couldn’t find a win.

The gap in points remains as it was between the top four teams in the league. All four teams were involved in a ‘1-1’ score game.
Marseille and Monaco shared the points, Lens came from behind to get the point, and Paris St. Germain conceded a late goal to settle for a point.
A defeat in the opening game of the round denied Rennes from taking advantage of the points dropped by the teams in the ‘top four’.
A 4-0 defeat to Brest keeps Angers at the bottom of the league table with a single-digit point.

Rennes is back to league defeat after a ‘1-0’ win against Paris St. Germain in their last league game. They arguably deserved more from the match than a defeat but Rennes failed to recover from going 2-0 down in the first half to end up beaten ‘2-1’ at Lorient.

Marseille will end the season unbeaten against Monaco after Alexis Sanchez scored an equalizing goal in the 47th for Marseille to earn a deserved point at home from a 1-1 draw with Monaco.

Lens would’ve loved the three points from a win but avoiding a defeat will be a welcomed consolation. Adrien Thomasson entered the match in the 72nd minute and scored 16 minutes later to save Lens from a defeat at Troyes.

After three league matches without a win, Lyon picked up one through Ajaccio.

Toulouse is unbeaten in their last six competitive fixtures after Thijs Dallinga scored the equalizing goal for Toulouse in the 25th minute, and the game-winning goal in the 51st minute to get his side a 2-1 win at Strasbourg.

Folavin Balogun’s goal in the sixth minute of the final added minutes got Reims even on the scoreboard against a 10-man Paris St. Germain side that has now dropped points in consecutive league matches: A defeat at Rennes and now a draw against Reims.
