WEEKEND BANGERS
The highlighted fixtures coming up this weekend into Monday
The Spanish La Liga return along with the Italian Serie A, while the English Premier League take a break from league football to partake in the FA Cup.

On Saturday,
There is the Catalan Derby, where Barcelona will be needing a win away against Espanyol to keep their lead in the La Liga title race.
Being at the top of the league standings and being asked to beat the team at the bare bottom of the league should not be a difficult task for FC Barcelona but the way their away record has been set-up this season, you can’t count out Espanyol in this derby.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Manchester United
Manchester United will need an away win against Wolves to continue their journey in the FA Cup.
Recent record will suggest this to be a difficult task for Manchester United.
Manchester United has failed to get a win against Wolves in the last 4 meetings, including getting eliminated by Wolves at the quarter-final stage of last season’s FA Cup.

Last Four meetings
Manchester United 1-1 Wolves
Wolves 2-1 Manchester United (FA Cup)
Wolves 2-1 Manchester United
Wolves 1-1 Manchester United

It’s fair to call Wolves favorite in this FA Cup tie.

On Sunday,
There is the Merseyside Derby in the FA Cup on Sunday. Liverpool and Everton will both try and advance to the fourth round of the FA Cup.
History and current form says Everton has a near 0% chance of not losing as Anfield.

In Portugal
Porto(2nd) will need to beat Sporting CP(3rd) in order to close in on league leaders Benfica in the Portuguese Primiera Liga.

On Monday,

The main attraction will be in Italy,
The title contenders in Serie A will be getting a challenge from teams that have some fight in them.

‘Napoli vs Inter Milan’ is the blockbuster fixture.
Inter Milan will go to Naples for results that would keep them in first place.
Despite Napoli’s struggles in recent matches, the talent to do damage to Inter Milan’s title aspirations remain.

Napoli ended a winless run of 8 league matches in their last Serie A match.(Sampdoria 1-2 Napoli)
They will need positive results against an Inter Milan side that is involved in a league title race with Juventus.

It is a must-win for Inter Milan if Juvenus is winning.

Juventus vs Cagliari
Recent results haven’t gone Cagliari’s way after a terrific start to their season.
To ask a team to go away against Juventus and secure some points on the league standings is a tough task to ask.
But Cagliari has little to lose here. It is a test that teams must go through to be contenders for the Scudettto.
It is a must-win for Juventus if Inter Milan is winning.
