The fixtures to talk about on Monday. – Weekend Bangers

Hertha Berlin vs Borussia Dortmund (German Bundesliga)
It is fair to say both teams might have let their fans down at this point in the season. Hertha will be looking to get the backing of their home supporters and possibly make a move into the top half of the league table with a victory over a Borussia Dortmund side that might just be in gauging for second-place when the season is complete.

Borussia Monchengladbach vs Augsburg (German Bundesliga)
The title looks to be going back to Bayern Munich, but playing in the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League is up for grabs. Borussia Monchengladbach has managed to accumulate a point more than Augsburg has in the last 18 rounds of the 2017/18 German Bundesliga. Monchengladbach can widen the point-gap with a home victory, or risk the chance of letting Augsburg leap over them in the league standings.

Inter Milan vs Roma (Italian Serie A)
3 Draws and 2 Losses – Inter Milan hasn’t won a league match in their last 5 fixtures, and there isn’t a better time to change direction.
The Italian Serie A is the closest title race in the top 5 leagues in Europe at this moment, and despite both these teams barely contending for the title at the moment, they are in right in the mix of the top end actions that will dictate the final setup of the 2017/18 Italian Serie A league standings.
With a game in hand, Roma is just a victory away from equaling Inter Milan points accumulated. An away victory at the San Siro will give Roma the advantage when ‘matches played’ is factored.

Lyon vs Paris Saint-Germain (French Ligue 1)
Paris Saint-Germain is coming to the fixture with an emphatic victory over Dijon in their latest league fixture. But from the little competition that Paris Saint-Germain seems to have in this year’s Ligue 1 title race, Lyon is one of them.
Lyon has suffered just a defeat at home, while PSG’s only league defeat was in an away fixture. PSG defeat came in their last five league matches, while Lyon has maintained an undefeated streak over that time. 11-points separates the two sides, and the rest of Ligue 1 will be on Lyon’s side to reduce the 9-point gap Paris Saint-Germain is keeping at the top of the league table.

Real Sociedad vs Celta Vigo (Spanish La Liga)
Both teams are within 10 points from the relegation zone and are separated by two points in the league standings. Celta Vigo will be looking forward to widening the gap between themselves and Real Sociedad, while Sociedad will avoiding a consecutive league defeat at home and missing out on a chance to leap over Celta Vigo in the league standings with a victory.
