CLUB PERFORMANCE INDEX RANKING
The first Performance Index Ranking of the new season.
While club football was on a break, we also compiled our first Performance Index Ranking of the 2024/25 season. There were a few surprises, as the start of the season often brings in the rankings, but nothing too drastic.
INDEX RANKING:
The top five in our index ranking are made up of defending champions, with Barcelona (2nd) being the exception. Inter Milan comes in at 8th, Real Madrid is at 15th, and Bayer Leverkusen is in 41st.
Paris Saint-Germain tops our early ranking of the clubs in Europe’s top seven leagues. They share the podium with Barcelona and PSV Eindhoven. Manchester City comes in 4th, while Sporting CP rounds out the top five. Marseille, Liverpool, Inter Milan, Villarreal, and Heidenheim conclude the top ten.
Santa Clara is the highest-ranked of the recently promoted clubs, followed by Groningen and Parma.
Bochum, St. Pauli, and Saint-Étienne are at the bottom of the ranking.
It is a new domestic season, and we can see many signs that the defending champions are going to put up a good fight to keep hold of their title.
