Real Madrid clinched the La Liga title with four rounds to spare.

Second place is the highest position achievable in the French Ligue 1 after Paris Saint-Germain secured the expected league title. Monaco is the frontrunner to finish in second place. Clermont and Lorient’s best hope for the season is to secure the relegation playoff spot, currently held by Metz, who aims for a better finish to avoid the relegation playoff altogether.
