Belfort and Epinal will be the favorite for the neutral and underdog lovers.
The two teams from the 4th-tier will play host to a team from Ligue 1 in the quarterfinal. The hope here is that the home supporters will champion their teams to get into the semifinal.
Despite playing away from home, a victory would be expected from Rennes against Belfort (4th tier), just like Saint-Etienne will be expected to come through against 4th-tier Epinal.
It will be Dijon’s task to stop Paris St. Germain from their 13th title in the competition.
On paper, ‘Lyon vs Marseille’ will be the most evenly contested fixture of the four quarter final matches. The current Ligue 1 table will also make Marseille the second best in France at the moment.
Marseille will need a win on the road against Lyon to move on to the semifinal. Marseille remains the second most successful team in the competition history with 10 titles, even though their last success came in 1989 .

For a Basque derby final to be played, Athletic Club must win at home against Granada, while Real Sociedad does the same against Mirandes.
The current La Liga standings gives very little between Athletic Club and Granada. 31 points to 30 points. 9th in the league vs 10th in the league.
Mirandes might be 10th in the Segunda, but they’ve taken out a lot 3 top tier teams on their way to the semifinal without needing the luck of penalty kickoffs. (Celta Vigo, Sevilla, and Villarreal). Could Real Sociedad be the next giant Mirandes take down?

An all Serie A affair as usual.
On paper, these are 4 of the best teams in Italy.
It’s evenly split. Inter Milan and Juventus (two teams having a good run in the domestic league) are paired respectively with Napoli and AC Milan (two teams that are trying to discover their fine form).
For a Milan derby to be the final, Inter Milan will have to kick off the semifinal with a win against Napoli, while AC Milan does the same against Juventus.
The odds are in favor of it being an Inter Milan vs Juventus final. With the current Serie A standings in mind, that would be a battle for a domestic double.
