A 1-1 draw leaves Arsenal and Brighton unbeaten in the league, while both dropped two points. A second yellow card given to Declan Rice in the 49th minute saw Arsenal play with a numerical disadvantage for the remainder of the match. Brighton took advantage of this with João Pedro scoring in the 58th minute to cancel the lead Kai Havertz had
given Arsenal in the 38th minute.

Brentford ( 3 ) – ( 1 ) Southampton
Newly-promoted Southampton suffered their third defeat in three games. Bryan Mbeumo scored twice in Brentford’s 3-1 win against Southampton.

Everton ( 2 ) – ( 3 ) Bournemouth
Bournemouth recovered from two goals down with three late goals to win 3-2 away against Everton. This was Bournemouth’s first win of the season, keeping them unbeaten, while Everton lost all their opening three games.

Ipswich Town ( 1 ) – ( 1 ) Fulham
Newly-promoted Ipswich Town gained their first point of the season in a 1-all draw with Fulham. Both goals were scored in the first half.

Leicester City ( 1 ) – ( 2 ) Aston Villa
Aston Villa bounced back from defeat to Arsenal with an away win over Leicester City, leaving promoted Leicester City without a win from their first three matches.

West Ham United ( 1 ) – ( 3 ) Manchester City
Manchester City made it three wins in three, with Erling Haaland scoring a hat trick in back-to-back league games, as Manchester City followed their 4-1 win at home over Ipswich Town with a 3-1 win away against West Ham United.

Chelsea ( 1 ) – ( 1 ) Crystal Palace
Chelsea remains without a home win, while Crystal Palace remains without a win. Eberechi Eze leveled the score for Crystal Palace in the 53rd minute after Nicolas Jackson gave Chelsea the lead in the 25th minute.

Newcastle United ( 2 ) – ( 1 ) Tottenham Hotspur
Alexander Isak restored Newcastle’s lead in the 78th minute, allowing them to double their league wins with a 2-1 victory against Tottenham, handing Tottenham their first league defeat of the new season.

Manchester United ( 0 ) – ( 3 ) Liverpool
Two goals from Luis Diaz put Liverpool ahead at halftime before Mohamed Salah added his customary goal to secure a 3-0 win at Old Trafford against Manchester United. Liverpool is unbeaten with a perfect winning record, while Manchester United suffers back-to-back defeats.
