The English Premier League after the fifth round.

Manchester City remains at the top of the table with a perfect record, while Tottenham, Liverpool, and Arsenal are two points behind after winning their matches. Burnley’s draw with Nottingham Forest leaves Luton Town as the only team without a point. Chelsea and Manchester United both dropped two places to 13th and 14th respectively, after Chelsea failed to win and Manchester United lost.

Liverpool came back from a goal down to beat Wolves 3-1 away, extending their winning streak to four games. It’s back to back league defeats for Wolves, conceding three goals in both.

Aston Villa came back from a goal down with three late goals to beat Crystal Palace 3-1 after losing 3-0 to Liverpool in their previous game. Aston Villa were a goal down against Crystal Palace in the 85th minute.

Luton Town remain without a point after another defeat. Vinicius came off the bench and scored the game’s only goal three minutes later in the 65th minute, giving Fulham a ‘1-0’ defeat over Luton Town.

Brighton earned three points against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Manchester United followed a ‘3-1’ loss in London to Arsenal with another ‘3-1’ loss at home to Brighton. It was 3-0 until Manchester United pulled one back.

Tottenham remained unbeaten after coming from behind to defeat Sheffield United. Richarlison entered the game in the 80th minute with Tottenham trailing by one goal, and scored the equalizer in the eighth minute of injury time before assisting Dejan Kulusevski to score the game-winning goal two minutes later.

Manchester City maintained their unbeaten start to the season, while West Ham suffered their first league defeat of the season. Manchester City went into the halftime break a goal down but recovered right after the restart to kickoff a comeback and beat West Ham 3-1.

Newcastle United’s three-game losing streak came to an end, while Brentford suffered their first league defeat of the season. A soft penalty allowed Callum Wilson to convert and give Newcastle United a 1-0 victory over Brentford.

After a goalless draw against Bournemouth, Chelsea’s only league victory of the season has come against newly promoted Luton Town.

Leandro Trossard’s goal in the 69th minute gave Arsenal a deserved three points against Everton.
