Harvey Barnes scored the only goal of the game to get Leicester City the three points against a Leeds United side under new management.

A 4-0 victory against Southampton marked consecutive league wins for Aston Villa (after consecutive defeats). Southampton suffered their first defeat in all competitions since their 3-1 defeat to Wolves on January 15, 2022. They won 4 out of 5 league matches in the period.

After a goalless first half, Kai Harvetz scored two goals as Chelsea showed their superiority in the second half to thrash Burnley 4-0.

Brighton pulled one back in the second half but the two goals in the opening 15 minutes were enough for Newcastle to make it seven games unbeaten. [5 wins and 2 draws]

As bad as Brentford has been, Norwich City is worse. Ivan Toney’s hattrick gave Brentford the three points.

Three defeats in a row for Wolves after a 2-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace.

No shockers. Liverpool made up for their 3-2 defeat in the reverse fixture by taking the three points at Anfield in a 1-0 win.

Watford took a hit to their relegation battle while Arsenal made a move to get comfortable in the top four. Gabriel Martinelli’s goal ended up deciding the game for Arsenal to make it four league wins in a row.

Manchester is sky Blue.
Manchester City did a league double on Manchester United through a 4-1 win at the Etihad. Kevin De Bruyne scored both the match opening goal and the game-winning goal in the first half before assisting the insurance goal in the second half.

Maybe it was their desperation to find the points for their survival but Everton suffered comprehensive defeat (5-0) against a Tottenham side that has also been quite disappointing in recent weeks.
