The 2024 Ballon d’Or nominees shortlist was released.
The current holder and record winner Lionel Messi did not make the 30-man shortlist, though we doubt he would mind. Twenty-six nationalities were represented among the nominations, with Spain leading with 17 nationals, followed by England with 11.
