Leicester vs Manchester United

Leicester and Manchester United come into this game from a win; and will be both looking for the result to close in on the league leaders.

Leicester City coming from a 2-0 win against Tottenham.
Manchester United coming from a 6-2 home win against Leeds United. Most recent game was a 2-0 away win against Everton in the EFL Cup.

2014 was the last time Leicester City won a game against Manchester United. A 5-3 win from a match that saw United blow a 3-1 lead in the final half hour of the game.

Should this trend continue, Manchester United will be getting results to close in on the league leaders.

With a game in hand, Manchester United are just a point behind and a position behind Leicester City.

 

Aston Villa vs Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace has to recover from the 7-0 home defeat against Liverpool against an
Aston Villa team that are coming into the game from a 3-0 win away against West Brom.

 

Fulham vs Southampton

Fulham comes into the game from a ‘1-1’ draw at Newcastle.
Southampton comes in from a 1-1 draw at Arsenal.

A better outcome will be good for either side.

 

Arsenal vs Chelsea

Chelsea’s objective is to pick to kick off a win streak, while Arsenal come into the game to end a streak of being without a win.

Chelsea ended consecutive league defeats in the last round after a 3-0 home win against West Ham. It was Chelsea’s first win in 4 competitive matches.

Arsenal haven’t won a league game since November 1st; win at Old Trafford against Manchester United (1-0).
It’s 7 league matches without a win for Arsenal. Their most recent game was a 4-1 home defeat and elimination from the EFL Cup against Manchester City. Their most recent league result was a 2-1 defeat at Everton.

 

Manchester City vs Newcastle

Manchester City and Newcastle were both involved in a EFL Cup match this week.
City advanced to the semifinals by thrashing Arsenal (4-1), while Newcastle were eliminated by Championship side Brentford.

In the league, Manchester City’s last league game was a narrow 1-0 win against Southampton, while Newcastle pulled out a 1-1 draw at home against Fulham.

 

 

 

 

Sheffield United vs Everton

The goal for Everton is to go for a 4th successive league win.
For Sheffield United, it will be the 15th of 32 attempts to get a league victory in the 2020/21 Premier League season.

 

Leeds vs Burnley

Burnley are unbeaten in their last 4 league games (2W, 2L). All their defeats in the last 10 league games have been against sides that are expected to beat them; Tottenham, Chelsea, and Manchester City.

Leeds are open for attacking business. They went from a 5-2 win to a 6-2 defeat the following game.

Can Burnley keep Leeds out?

 

West Ham vs Brighton

West Ham are coming into this round from a 3-0 defeat at home to Chelsea.

Brighton picked up a point from a 1-1 draw against Sheffield United. That made it 5 games without a win.

Both teams could use a win.

 

Liverpool vs West Brom

Liverpool’s last game was a massive 7-0 win at Crystal Palace.
West Brom suffered a 3-0 defeat at home to Aston Villa.

It all points in one direction: a big home win for Liverpool to keep(extend) their lead at the top of the league table.

 

Wolves vs Tottenham

They both have what it takes to win in this game; and they’re both in need of a good result.

Wolves suffered a 2-1 defeat at Burnley in their last match.

Tottenham had a 3-1 win in the EFL Cup at Stoke, but are without a win in their last three league games; including 2 back-to-back defeats.

We will always do more than our best to hack away the unessential and keep you up to date with what is happening in futbol today. Because of the mood swings that futbol can give us in a day, we are not too critical within 24hrs of a crushing defeat to any side.
