A very easy night for Chelsea FC.

A late run couldn’t stop Olympiacos from a defeat at home to Sporting CP. At the end of the first day of the 2017 UEFA Champions League, Celtic, Benfica, and Olympiacos were the teams opened their season with a defeat at home, while Roma and Atletico Madrid was the only goalless fixture.

Barcelona took a big step towards the top of their group when they defeated Juventus at the Camp Nou. Chelsea showed the gap in quality when they demolished Qarabag at the Stamford Bridge. Bayern Munich bounced back from their shocking defeat in the German Bundesliga and took all three points against Anderlecht.  The offense of Paris Saint-Germain showed their worth and demolished Celtic at the Celtic Park.
