Some ‘Top Fixtures’ coming our way this weekend

Cancel plans if you must. Don’t make any if you haven’t.

Top Fixtures.

RB Leipzig – Hoffenheim (Bundesliga)

January 28, 2017

Hoffenheim will be traveling to play RB Leipzig. For Leipzig, keep tabs with Bayern Munich at the top of the table is the reason to make sure that this match finishes with them on the winning end.

Hoffenheim has gone through the first half of the 2016-17 Bundesliga season without suffering a defeat. The plan is to remain undefeated extend this streak.

Crystal Palace – Manchester City (FA Cup)

January 28, 2017

After recent results in league matches, Manchester City is looking for something to pick them up. A defeat in the FA Cup or a draw that would make their schedule tighter is not what Manchester City and their fans will be looking for at the end of this fixture.

A good result from this fixture would help the new management of Crystal Palace buy some time in their quest to shape the team.

Southampton – Arsenal (FA Cup)

January 28, 2017

Southampton is on their way to Wembley after eliminating Liverpool in the EFL Cup. This is an opportunity for Southampton to eliminate another top team in England from a cup competition.

Manchester United tied Arsenal’s FA Cup title record just after a year of setting it. If the aim is to regain that record and/or stop Manchester United from setting a new record in the FA Cup competition, then Arsenal will need not to slack in this fixture.

Paris Saint-Germain – Monaco (French Ligue 1)

January 29, 2017

Pre-season title favorites.

Three points separate these two teams in the French Ligue 1 standings. Monaco has a greater goal difference, but a victory for Paris Saint-Germain will tie these two in points.

This is Paris Saint-Germain’s chance to amend their errors from the start of the season.

This might be Monaco’s shot of opening a gap that will see them claim the Ligue 1 title from Paris Saint-Germain.

Monaco has been the winner in the last two meetings. Paris Saint-Germain can’t afford to make it a third straight defeat to Monaco.

Real Madrid – Real Sociedad (La Liga)

January 29, 2017

After recent bad results and getting eliminated from the Copa del Rey by Celta Vigo, Real Madrid needs a victory to help with the hopes of winning the La Liga title at the end of the season.

Eight points separate the two sides. Real Sociedad is hoping to break into the top four in the league standings with a good result from this fixture.
