It was a win that ensured that the defending champions remained on top of the league table. It was the third consecutive victory for Juventus after their loss to Inter Milan.

 

It was also the third consecutive defeat for Empoli after their goalless draw with Torino.

Atalanta did Juventus a favor by beating Napoli. Andrea Petagna’s 9th-minute goal was the only goal of the match.

Juventus victory and Napoli’s defeated extended a point gap to a four point gap between the two teams at the top of the Serie A table.

AC Milan got a home win against Sassuolo a seven-goal thriller at the San Siro.

Five goals in the second saw AC Milan fight from two goals behind in the second half to finish the match a goal ahead.

The home side’s early lead in the 9th minute was canceled just a minute later by Sassuolo’s Matteo Politano.  It was a 1-1 draw before the break.

In less than 15 minutes after the restart, Milan found themselves two goals behind.

Carlos Bacca scored a penalty in the 69th minute to start Milan’s comeback. About ten minutes later, the home team was celebrating a lead when Gabriel Paletta scored the winner in the 77th minute for AC Milan to get a very important win.

It was a consecutive win for Torino after a ‘2-1’ home victory over Fiorentina.

Konstantinos Manolas scored the winning goal for Roma to bounce back from their defeat to Torino with a home win over Inter Milan.

Manolas scored just four minutes after Ever Banega found an equalizing goal for Inter Milan to cancel out Edin Dzeko’s goal early goal in the first half.

The win sent Roma from a point behind Inter Milan to two points above. Roma sits six places ahead of Inter Milan.
