Pescara’s captain Ledian Memushaj missed a penalty that could have opened the scoring for this match and given Pescara the lead over Lazio in the 35th minute.

It was goalless at the half, but three goals in under 10 minutes was how Lazio separated themselves from newly promoted Pescara.

It is three wins in a row for Napoli, as they momentarily climbed to the top of the pile in Serie A standings after their home win against Bologna.

The second half started well for Bologna. Simone Verdi scored for to equalize for Jose Callejon’s goal in the first half. But it is difficult to keep Napoli from scoring, and Bologna failed to do so.

 

Bologna finished the match with fewer men after Emil Krafth was sent off following a red card.

Udinese suffered a home loss to Chievo Verona after conceding two late goals.

Chievo Verona had to come from a goal down to win the match with a late goal deep into stoppage time of the second half.

Cagliari got their first win of the season from their home match against Atalanta.

At 1-0 down, Alberto Paloschi had an opportunity to get Atalanta back in the contest but failed to convert the penalty awarded to his side.

 

Crotone                     1-1               Palermo

The two teams at the bottom of the league standings played out a 1-1 draw to settle for a point each. Palermo saw a lot of the ball, as Crotone decided to defend the lead when they got one.

 

Sassuolo                        2-0             Genoa

Newly promoted Sassuolo got their second win of the season from Genoa. Two second half goals gave the home team the win.

The match that ended Genoa’s winning streak at the start of the season, and the suspended Miguel Veloso after he received two yellow cards late in the match.

 

Torino 0-0 Empoli

It was a clean sheet for Joe Hart after Torino and Empoli played out a goalless draw. Both teams came into the match with identical records to their season and kept it that way.

After a goalless first half, three goals in the second half decided the match between Inter Milan and Juventus.

 

Inter Milan came from a goal down to knock had Juventus their first defeat of the season.

This might just be a minor dent in Juventus race to defend their title, but it was definitely a major win for Inter Milan. The start to Inter’s season has not been ideal, and this was a win that should boost the morale of the team

 

Fiorentina                 1-0          Roma

After Juventus suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of Inter Milan, Roma also saw their undefeated start to the season come to an end. Fiorentina won 1-0 at home against Roma
