Two goals in the final 15 minutes of regulation time gave Villarreal a deserved home victory over Valladolid

Atletico Madrid was held to a goalless draw at home by Celta Vigo. The result ended up costing Atletico Madrid a chance to regain top spot in the league.

Barcelona was handed a ‘not so shocking’ defeat in an away match against newly-promoted Granada.

Angel Rodriguez‘s goal allowed Getafe to comfortably end the match with a ‘4-2’ win against Mallorca.

Willian Jose‘s brace leads Real Sociedad to win on the road over Espanyol.

Leganes remains winless in the league after a ‘1-1’ draw with Valencia.

A ‘2-0’ win over Alaves in addition to other results around the league has allowed Athletic Club to climb to pole position in the lead.

Karim Benzema scored the only goal of the match to see Real Madrid pick up a win at Seville. Real Madrid is goal-difference away from topping the league table.
