It was a consecutive FIFA Club World Cup titles for Real Madrid wins for Real Madrid after Cristiano Ronaldo’s second-half goal ended up being the only goal in the final against Brazilian side Gremio.

Real Madrid’s success in the competition made it a 5th straight title for UEFA, and a fourth consecutive title for the Spanish La Liga, a third title in the competition for Real Madrid to tie FC Barcelona as the most successful teams in the tournament history.
