Manchester City had to fight for an away win at Burnley.  Defensive mistakes from Burnley allowed Manchester City to leave the fixture with the maximum points.

Hull City stopped West Bromwich Albion from getting a third consecutive league victory. Michael Dawson’s second-half goal saved Hull City from a home defeat.

The result does not do much for a Hull City team that is residing in the relegation zone at the moment.

Leicester City is doing a terrible job at defending their title.

Two goals from Alvaro Negredo, Two penalties for Leicester City.

Two penalties were awarded to Leicester City to stop them from an embarrassing home defeat against newly promoted Middlesbrough.

The defending champions are not beyond relegations at this point.

It took a while, but Liverpool got the results they needed against Sunderland.  After dropping points at Southampton, Liverpool could not afford to let any more points slip if they want to remain in the conversation as title contenders for the coming week.

A nine-goal thriller against Crystal Palace gave Swansea City their second victory in the 2016/17 Premier League season and their first under their new manager Bob Bradley.

Swansea looked to have blown a perfect opportunity when they allowed Crystal Palace to take the lead after being two goals down by the 68th minute.

But Crystal Palace out did Swansea when they ended up losing the match after going into additional time with a goal lead.

Swansea City’s second-half substitute Fernando Llorente scored a brace in additional time to give the home side a memorable victory.

It was an important win that was done in a climactic fashion.

Tottenham Hotspurs undefeated start to the season came to an end ,so did Chelsea’s six-match clean sheet streak.

Chelsea came from behind to grab a win that sends them to the top of the league.

An evenly contested fixture between Watford and Stoke City ended with Stoke City getting an away win through an own goal from Watford’s goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes.

It was tougher than expected, but Arsenal keeps their undefeated run going with another win. A ‘2-1’ home win against AFC Bournemouth keeps the Gunners in title contention.

It was four straight home league matches without a victory for Manchester United.

An early goal for West Ham was enough for the away team to leave with a point.  At this point, it is difficult to tell if getting a point away at Manchester United is something of which you can be proud.

Everton’s manager Ronald Koeman returned to his old club of Southampton. His former players were so happy to see him that they scored a goal under a minute to remind him of what he left behind. Charlie Austin’s early goal for Southampton was the only goal in this fixture.

It was a victory that sent Southampton above Everton in points on the league table.
