It took eleven matches, but Sunderland finally got a win.

Sunderland became that last team to get a win in the 2016/17 Premier League season.

Sunderland came from a goal down to get their first maximum points from a league match.

Was it a deserved win based on the balance of play? Probably not! but Sunderland will take anything they can get after the start of the season they’ve had.

Crystal Palace found their way back into the match after going down to two first-half goals, but Ashley Barnes scored a late goal for  Burnley to break the heart of Crystal Palace.

It was the fourth consecutive league defeat for Crystal Palace, while Burnley is undefeated in three consecutive league matches.

Manchester City dropped points at home to newly promoted Middlesbrough when Marten de Roon managed to steal a point with an injury-time equalizer.

Is Stamford Bridge becoming a fortress again?

Everton was thrashed by Chelsea in their third defeat of the season.  At halftime, it was clear who was leaving the match with all three points. Chelsea was sitting comfortably on a 3-0 score.

Eden Hazard scored a brace to add to his goal tally for the season, and Diego Costa made sure he got another goal to chase the ‘Golden Boot’.

Tottenham players scored both goals in a North London derby which finished a ‘1-1’ draw.

On his return to league action after being injured, Harry Kane equalized from the spot for Tottenham to cancel Kevin Wimmer’s first-half own goal.

Arsenal is denied the chance of potentially climbing to the top of the league table, while Tottenham remains the only team in the league that is yet to suffer a defeat.

Swansea started of the season with a win, and have failed to add another win since then. Their latest defeat was to Manchester United. We didn’t know what to expect from this match, but the results was not a shock.

Three goals in the first half were enough for Manchester United to leave Swansea with the maximum points from the fixture.

Leicester is having a hard time defending their league title.

Matthew Phillips second half goal for West Bromwich Albion did not only put a stop to the losing streak but also handed Leicester City a home defeat that fans hadn’t seen in some time.
