Paris St. Germain’s lead at the top is slashed to a win.

Paris St. Germain’s lead in the French Ligue 1 title race has been reduced to 3 points after a defeat at Rennes.
Lens’s 1-0 win against Auxerre in the opening match of the round has them three points from the top.
Marseille’s 3-1 win against Lorient has them 5 points from the top.
Monaco’s 7-1 thrashing of Ajaccio has them 10 points from the top.
Monaco moved up a position to 4th. Lille moved up a position to 6th. Lorient dropped a position to 7th.
Angers remain bottom of the league table after a 2-1 home defeat to Clermont Foot.
Lyon dropped a position down to 9th.

The race is heating up in all segments of the league table.

Marseille maintained a 100% win record since the restart of the season by taking out Lorient through a 3-1 score.

Lyon was a goal away from avoiding a home defeat to Strasbourg. A 2-1 win at Lyon was Strasbourg’s first win since October 9, 2021.

Przemyslaw Frankowski’s goal from a penalty in the 58th minute secured Lens the maximum points through a narrow 1-0 win at home against Auxerre.

Lille took a 3-0 lead into the break. Mohamed Bayo and Jonathan David both scored a brace in Lille’s 5-1 victory against Troyes.

Clermont Foot wins three matches in a row after a 2-1 away win against Angers.
A goal at the end of the first half and another at the start of the second half carried Clermont to the three points.

Nantes take three points after putting three goals past a Montpellier side that was reduced to 9 men by the end of the match. Nantes went up 1-0 after Montpellier was reduced to 10 men (Wahbi Khazri’s red card in the first half), and they added two more goals after Montpellier was reduced to 9 men ( Elye Wahi’s red card in the second half)

Wissam Ben Yedder scored a first-half hattrick to send Monaco to the break with a 3-1 lead on Ajaccio. It ended a 7-1 win for Monaco to bounce from the points dropped against Lorient in the previous round and went out of Coupe de France the match before.

Hamari Traore’s goal in the 6th minute won Rennes three points at home against Paris St. Germain.
