Paris St. Germain have the ideal ‘starting eleven’ while Lille and Montpellier invade at the top.

Paris St. Germain have started their title defense with 11 wins from their opening 11 matches in the 2018/19 French Ligue 1.
The UEFA Champions League is where PSG has dropped all the points this season.
If the victory over Monaco in the Trophée des Champions is included, Paris St. Germain has faced and beaten the three teams (Monaco, Lyon, Marseille) that completed the ‘top four’ in Ligue 1 at the end of last season’s competition.

August 4, 2018 – Paris St. Germain 4-0 Monaco (Trophée des Champions)
October 7, 2018 – Paris St. Germain 5-0 Lyon (Ligue 1)
October 28, 2018 – Marseille 0-2 Paris St. Germain (Ligue 1)

Is this the best attack in Europe?
In all competitive matches played so far, no team has been able to avoid conceding less than 2 goals when they come up against Paris Saint-Germain since the start of the French Ligue 1 season.
Even in defeat, the attacking threat Paris St. Germain possess has allowed them to deny their opponent a clean sheet. Le Classique victory in Marseille was the first time this season that Paris St. Germain was victorious in a match where they scored just 2 goals.

How long will this run last for PSG? Can they go complete the 2018/19 Ligue 1 with a 100% record?
It will be a record if they managed to achieve it, but 81 points would be a lot for Paris St. Germain to make it a 100% record in Ligue 1.

Round 10 will serve Lille and Marseille a test.
Lille is two wins away from equaling their total win in the 2017/18 season and 5 wins from 2016/17 season. In both seasons, Lille finished outside the top half of the final league standings.
2018/19 season looks bright. With the second-best record in the league, Lille will have to avoid defeat to Paris St. Germain on November 2, 2018, to keep protect their second-place spot in the standings.

Lille and Montpellier find themselves in parts of the Ligue 1 standings that was probably not included in most pre-tournament prediction. The two teams respectively occupy 2nd and 3rd place in the standings.
Round 12 of the season has paired the two teams with teams that finished in the ‘top four’ of last year’s tournament.

Paris St. Germain v Lille (November 2, 2018)
Lile will open the round playing away against a Paris St. Germain side that is yet to drop points in the league.

Montpellier v Marseille (November 4, 2018)
Montpellier will close the round playing against Marseille side that needs to make up for point dropped from their last; a defeat to Paris St. Germain.
Montpellier’s only defeat so far has been a surprise defeat at home to Dijon.
