Terem Moffi doubled Nice’s lead in the 72nd minute, securing them an eventual 2-1 victory over Rennes. This marked a consecutive league win for Nice after a seven-game drought, while Rennes continued to display inconsistency in their results.

Marshal Munetsi’s goal in the 21st minute proved to be enough for Reims to end their three-game losing streak with a 1-0 win at home against Lille. Lille, who had been seeking to initiate a winning streak after a 3-0 victory over Ajaccio in the previous round, suffered their first defeat in the last four matches and their second in the last ten.

Seko Fofana’s goal in the dying minutes of the first half, along with Lois Openda’s goal in the 60th minute, propelled Lens to a 2-1 victory over Marseille, securing second place for Lens. This loss marked Marseille’s first defeat in the league since their 3-0 defeat at home against Paris St. Germain eight league matches ago.

Nantes have gone winless in their last six matches, with one of those matches costing them their Coupe de France champion title. They have suffered three defeats in their last five league matches. Strasbourg’s 2-0 victory at Nantes allowed them to bounce back after losing to Lyon in the previous round at home.

Initially, it seemed that Montpellier would replicate their 4-0 triumph over Monaco with another resounding victory in Lyon when they took a 4-1 lead in the 55th minute. However, Lyon staged a remarkable comeback after relinquishing their lead to defeat Montpellier at home. The match turned into a nine-goal thriller, with both teams having a player score four goals. Dejan Lovren’s goal ultimately proved to be the deciding factor as Alexandre Lacazette scored four goals for Lyon, canceling out Montpellier’s four goals from Elye Wahi.

Kylian Mbappe’s goal in the 8th minute kick-started Paris St. Germain’s pursuit of victory in Troyes. With a 3-1 scoreline, Paris St. Germain bounced back from their defeat against Lorient, while Troyes extended their winless streak to 17 league games (including 13 defeats).
