GROUP A
CAMEROON 4-1 ETHIOPIA
Ethiopia took the lead in the 4th minute but that was not enough to stop Cameroon. Karl Toko Ekambi and Vincent Aboubakar evenly shared the goalscoring to advance Cameroon to the next round.

CAPE VERDE 0-1 BURKINA FASO
Boureima Bande’s goal in the 39th got the victory to put Burkina Faso in an ideal position to qualify.

Burkina Faso has Ethiopia next.
Cape Verde’s challenge is against Cameroon.


GROUP B
SENEGAL 0-0 GUINEA
Guinea and Senegal shared the points in a goalless draw to keep the top two spots in Group B.

MALAWI 2-1 ZIMBABWE
Gabadinho Mhango scored both goals to get Malawi from a goal down to a win that puts them in contention to win Group B.

In the final round: Zimbabwe vs Guinea / Malawi vs Senegal

It’s the top two vs the bottom two in the final round in Group B.
A must-win for Zimbabwe.
Guinea, Senegal, and Malawi are all in a position to be the group winner of Group B.

GROUP C
MOROCCO 2- 0 COMOROS
It could’ve been three goals for Morocco if Youssef En-Nesyri had scored his penalty in the 83rd minute. Morocco advances to the Round of 16

GABON 1-1 GHANA
Gabon stays unbeaten in Group C with Morocco.
Jim Allevinah scored with two minutes left of the regulation time to deny Ghana a win.

The final round: Gabon vs Morocco / Ghana vs Comoros

With advancement to the knockout stage secured by Morocco.
Their final match of the group against Gabon will be more about how Gabon can get a point from a draw to take second place.

Ghana will need to beat a Comoros side that has one more chance to get points] in the group.
A win will get Comoros third.

Morocco will likely win Group C, with Gabon as the only team to stop them.
Comoros will likely lose the group, with Ghana the only team that can take that away.



GROUP D
Nigeria advancing after beating Sudan.
Samuel Chukwueze had Nigeria up by a goal in the first three minutes of their match with Sudan. Taiwo Awoniyi doubled the lead before the halftime break.

Guinea Bissau was denied an equalizing goal from a wonder goal.
Mohamed Salah’s goal in the 69th minute got Egypt to a win that helps make up for their opening game defeat against Nigeria.

NIGERIA 3- 1 SUDAN
GUINEA – Bissau 0-1 EGYPT

A point against Sudan in the final group game should do the trick for Egypt in the final round. Guinea Bissau will try to stop Nigeria from winning the group with a perfect winning record.

GROUP E
IVORY COAST 2- 2 SIERRA LEONE
Ivory Coast started the game with Franck Kessie penalty getting saved in the 12th minute to deny an early lead, and ended it with Badra Sangare’s goalkeeping error costing them the victory.
Sierra Leone has gone through the heavyweights in Group E without a defeat.
Equatorial Guinea is up next.

ALGERIA 0-1 EQUATORIAL GUINEA
Not many would have predicted that the defending champions will be at the bottom of their group after two matches played.
Algeria will be in a desperate need for a result against Ivory Coast in their final group fixture.


GROUP F
TUNISIA 4-0 MAURITANIA
It was an attacking display from Tunisia to their first win in Group F.

GAMBIA 1-1 MALI
Both teams remain unbeaten after converting the chance from the penalty spot into a goal.

Mali takes on Mauritania in the final group game. Gambia will go against an inspired Tunisia.
