Italian Serie A

Napoli showed us why they are deserving of the crown.

Napoli picked up a 9-point lead in the title race by thrashing Juventus 5-1 in the opening match of the round.
The result dropped Juventus a position down to 3rd and allowed AC Milan to use a hard-fought 2-2 draw against Lecce to move up a position to 2nd.
Inter Milan remains in 4th place but their 1-0 win against Hellas Verona has them within touching distance of second place.
With the exception of Fiorentina and Torino switching positions, there were no other positional changes in the top half of the league table.

The three teams in the relegation zone were all on the wrong end of the score in their respective matches.
