After an unexpected midweek elimination for the Coppa Italia, Napoli was back to focusing on their title charge. Napoli closed the first half with a goal from Giovanni Di Lorenzo and opened the second half with a goal from Victor Osimhen to pick up a 2-0 win against Salernitana.
Kingsley Ehizibue scored an 88th-minute winner to get Udinese their first league win in eleven matches, while Sampdoria lose four games in a row, (with three being league matches.)
Sassuolo ended a streak of defeats despite failing to hold on to a goal lead at Monza. The two teams charged a point in a 1-1 draw.
Roma remains unbeaten since the Rome derby defeat on November 6th. A 2-0 win against Spezia made it three league wins out of four for Roma since they restart the season.
Juventus and Atalanta shared the points by evenly sharing six goals. Juventus came from a goal down to win the first half by two goals to one. Atalanta won the second round by two goals to one, but Juventus came from behind again to make things even.
Despite going a goal up through an awarded penalty, bottom-tabled CREMONESE couldn’t hold on for the three points against Bologna.
Inter Milan followed their Supercoppa Italiano title win with a defeat at home against Empoli. Tommaso Baldanzi entered the game in the 64th minute and scored the only goal of the game in the 66th minute to hand Empoli a 1-0 win in San Siro against a 10-man Inter Milan.
Milan Skriniar picking up a second yellow card in the opening 40 minutes of the match left Inter Milan to play the entirety of the second half with a numerical disadvantage and a loss of a defender.
