Must See Fixtures

Cancel your plans if you have to. (We recommend you do)

You can’t miss these fixtures over this weekend and into Monday.

Top Fixtures.

Manchester United – Tottenham Hotspur (Premier League)

Dec 11, 2016

A lot was and still are expected from these two teams in the Premier League. At the moment, these two sides have fallen short of expectations.

In the league standings, Tottenham is 6 points clear of Manchester United but there are no teams between the two.

A victory for Tottenham would enhance their hopes of being part of the Top Four teams on the league table.

Manchester United can’t afford a defeat. A defeat for Manchester United will push them 9 points away from Tottenham Hotspur

Paris Saint-Germain – OGC Nice (Ligue 1)

Dec 11, 2016

A season ago, this fixture wouldn’t have attracted this much attention.  OGC Nice’s run in the 2016/17 Ligue 1 season has made this fixture a highlight in this year’s football calendar.

OGC Nice is at the top of the Ligue 1 table,  four points clear off  the defending champions Paris Saint-Germain.

To many fans, Nice has over-performed while PSG has under-performed.  Paris Saint-Germain was at the wrong end of a ‘3-0’ score in their last league fixture, while OGC Nice was on the right end of the same scoreline in their last league fixture.

Paris Saint-Germain will have home advantage to help them avoid consecutive league defeat and lose ground in their quest to defend their league title.

Monaco could take advantage of this fixture if they can get an away victory over Bordeaux.

Torino – Juventus (Serie A)

Dec 11, 2016

Derby della Mole

The two prominent football clubs in Turin face off in a local derby that  could potentially affect the league title.

Torino was on a winning streak before losing to Sampdoria in their last league match. There is the potential to start a losing streak if they fail to survive Juventus (the league leaders and title holders).  The next match for Torino is against Napoli, another title challenging side.

The hope for Torino is that all of Juventus defeats in the 201/17 Serie A has occurred in away matches.

Schalke 04 – Bayer Leverkusen (German Bundesliga)

Dec 11, 2016

They are tied on points in the league standings. This could be the fixture to break that tie.

For Schalke 04, this would be a game to get back into their winning ways and not fall back to their terrible start. Schalke 04 enjoyed a great run of victories before falling to the undefeated and newly-promoted league leaders RB Leipzig.

Bayer Leverkusen hasn’t found a win in their last three league matches. Can they afford a fourth winless match?

Roma – AC Milan (Serie A)

Dec 12, 2016

They are currently the two teams with the best shot at stopping Juventus to their sixth consecutive Serie A title.  What separates these two sides is their goal difference.

A victory for either side wouldn’t see then overtake Juventus, but it would make them the only team that is closer to the defending champions in points accumulated in the 2016/17 Serie A.

Villarreal – Atlético Madrid (La Liga)

Dec 12, 2016

Villarreal has the opportunity to leap over Atletico Madrid in the league standings with a home victory.

With a victory and a little help Celta Vigo, Atletico Madrid could leap over Sevilla and put a 5 point gap between themselves a Villarreal.
