Arsenal’s lead at the top of the standings remains at two points as Liverpool keeps up with the pace in the title race. Both Arsenal and Liverpool picked up wins to stay within the distance. The only positional change in the ‘top 4’ was Aston Villa beating Manchester City for third place, causing Manchester City to fall to 4th.

Tottenham failed to build on a lead that would’ve allowed them to equal the points tally with Manchester City. In the end, Tottenham blew a goal lead to suffer a ‘2-1’ defeat at home against West Ham.

Manchester United beat Chelsea to move up a position to 6th and are three points away from the defending champions, Manchester City. Everton moved out of the relegation zone with a win that also dropped Newcastle United a position to 7th. Luton Town dropped into the relegation zone, making the occupants of the relegation zone all recently promoted clubs.

The match turned out to be a closer contest than anticipated but in the end Arsenal got the points to stay top of the Premier League table, thanks to a Declan Rice goal in the dying minute of the the match. The game winning goal came in the 7th minute of the final added time to give Arsenal a ‘4-3’ win in Luton.

Alex Iwobi and Raul Jimenez each scored a brace as Fulham cruised to a ‘5-0’ victory against Nottingham Forest.
Brighton rallied from a goal down to secure a ‘2-1’ win over Brentford.
Burnley suffered a setback following their ‘5-0’ victory against Sheffield United.
Bournemouth defeated Crystal Palace, bringing them level on points (16).
Liverpool met expectations with an away win against the struggling Sheffield United.

Manchester City faced domination at Villa Park, with Aston Villa securing their third consecutive win since a shocking defeat to Nottingham Forest. Meanwhile, Manchester City is now without a league win in their last four games, marking their first defeat in this run.

Scott McTominay scored a goal in each half, securing a ‘2-1’ win for Manchester United over Chelsea.
Everton secured three points with a ‘3-0’ victory over Newcastle United. It took 79 minutes for the opening goal, but Everton added two more before the final whistle.

Despite an early lead in the 11th minute, Tottenham couldn’t secure a victory at home against West Ham. Jarrod Bowen and James Ward-Prowse scored in the second half, leading West Ham from a goal down to a ‘2-1’ away victory against Tottenham. This win marked four unbeaten league games for West Ham since their defeat against Brentford, while also extending Tottenham’s winless run in the league to five games, including four defeats. Tottenham transitioned from being an unbeaten side to a team without a win.

Leverkusen, Monchengladbach, and Stuttgart are the three clubs from the top division in the final eight. Monchengladbach and Stuttgart had to achieve this by eliminating a fellow first division club. Monchengladbach knocked out Wolfsburg, while Stuttgart eliminated Dortmund.

An impressive run for Saarbrucken:
Saarbrucken, a team currently midtable in the third division of the German football league, continued their remarkable journey by eliminating Bayern Munich and then following it up with knocking out Eintracht Frankfurt—both teams competing in the first division.

Hertha Berlin advance though a penalty shootout against Hamburger SV.

Coppa Italia Round of 16.

Lazio and Fiorentina emerge as the initial two teams securing spots in the last eight of the Coppa Italia. Lazio secured their place by defeating Genoa, while Fiorentina booked their spot after a penalty shootout victory over Parma, following a 2-2 draw.
