Lewandowski dethroned as Immobile moved towards the European Golden Shoe trophy. – One more round left of the 2019/20 season.

The penultimate round of the 2019/20 Italian Serie finished with Lecce getting the results to send the relegation race to the final round, and Lazio’s Ciro Immobile getting a goal against Brescia to move up to lead the European Golden Shoe race. (35 goals), overtaking Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich).

 

Cagliari would have left the month of July without a win if they hadn’t shocked Juventus with a ‘2-0’ victory.

Lautaro Martinez doubles Inter Milan’s lead to see them beat Napoli ‘2-0’.

Francesco Caputo scored two goals as Genoa trashed Genoa 5-0. Caputo’s goals allowed him to be the 4th player in the league to cross the 20-goal mark.

Lecce took the relegation avoidance battle to the final day of the seaon after they coming from a goal down against Udinese to grab a ‘2-1’ away victory that allowed them to take full advantage of Genoa’s ‘5-0’ loss against Sassuolo. With 1 point separating the two teams, Genoa and Lecce will be in search of three points on the final day of the season. Genoa can only afford ‘respectable’ defeat (less that 3 goal margin) against Hellas Verona as long as Lecce doesn’t get a victory against Parma.

Federico Chiesa scored a hat-trick in Fiorentina’s 4-0 win against Bologna.

Amadou Diawara’s goal from the penalty spot ended up being the winning goal for Roma against Torino.
