A hammering at home dropped Dortmund out of the ‘top 4’ with Wolfsburg replacing them with a win in the opening game of the round.
Schalke are stuck at the bottom of the league table.
The three teams at the bottom of the league table were all on the losing end of the score with the exception being Schalke. Despite this, Schalke remain the only team in the league without a win.

Wout Weghorst was on the score sheet once again for Wolfburg to bring them from a goal down to win at home against Frankfurt.
Dortmund were trashed at home after conceding 4 goals in the second half to sit at the wrong end of a 5-1 score against Stuttgart. Silas Fundu scored the opening goal of the match and the match winning goal for Stuttgart. This isn’t the type of result needed for Dortmund to be considered a title contender for Bayern Munich. This defeat means Dortmund have secured a point in their last three matches while Stuttgart picked up 6 points from their last 2. Stuttgart’s only defeat in their last 10 league matches has been against Bayern Munich. (impressive)
Back to back draws in the league for Monchengladbach after coming from a goal down to avoid defeat at home against Hertha Berlin.
Frieburg picked up their second win of the season with 2 goals in the final 10 minutes (approx) for a 2-0 win against Arminia Bielefeld.
Elvis Rexhbecaj scored the only goal of the match for FC Koln picked up their second win of the season through a 1-0 win away at Mainz.
Two goals in the opening half allowed RB Leipzig to bounce from the points dropped in Munich by grabbing three points at home against Werder Bremen.
Robert Lewandowski scored to save Bayern from a defeat in Berlin. Points were dropped after a 1-1 draw against Union Berlin.
Schalke were minutes away from their first win in the league in 27 matches. Marco Richter’s equalizing goal in the additional minutes allowed a 10-man Augusburg to grab a point at home from a 2-2 draw with Schalke. The streak will extend to 28 day if Schalke does not beat Freiburg on Wednesday.
In the final match of the round, Leon Bailey contributed first-half goals to get Leverkusen to the top of the league standings after a 4-1 win against Hoffenheim. Hoffenhem ended the game with 2 players sent off for accumulation of yellow cards but that played a little role in the final outcome.
