Sevilla 2-1 Las Palmas
Pablo Sarabia 89’(pen) Tana 16’
Carlos Fernandez 90’+4
A late red card and a penalty awarded against Las Palmas allowed Sevilla to deny Las Palmas of another win to their amazing start of the season. Newly promoted Las Palmas were undefeated coming to this match and despite this loss, they still remain up on the table with the ‘big boys’ of La Liga.
The win shoots Sevilla above Las Palmas by a point. Las Palmas continue with their start, there is a lot the team can accomplish by the end of the season.
Barcelona 1-2 Alaves
Jeremy Mathieu 47’ Deyverson 39’
Ibai Gomez 64’
UPSET!!!!!!
When a newly promoted club goes away to play the defending champions and also arguably the best team in the world, the results are expected to go in only one direction. The statistics would make Barcelona the winner if goals didn’t decide matches.
What a way for Alaves to get their first win of the season?
Deportivo Alaves shocked FC Barcelona and the football world when they took three points out of Camp Nou in a match that they put Barcelona behind on two occasions.
Both of Barcelona’s biggest rivals won their matches this weekend, making it a major slip for the club as well. Barcelona brought in their top guns in the 60th minutes to stop this defeat from happening. Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, and Luis Suarez had to come in off the bench to play a match that was supposed to give them a break.
