Granada was on their way to get their first league win of the season, but Alexander Alegria made sure they didn’t.

 

Real Betis had to come from two goals down to get a draw in their home match against Granada. Alexander Alegria was the hero for Betis in this match. His two goals equalized for the home team.

“MSN” got on the scoresheet before the half to bring Barcelona back to their winning ways in La Liga. Lionel Messi opened the scoring for the match and finished the match with two goals to his name.

An energized Leganes team did everything to put a smile on the faces of the home fans. They pressed and attacked the defending champions FC Barcelona, but the quality on Barcelona’s side made Leganes pay for their bravery.

Despite losing the match, the home fans were last to cheer when Gabriel scored a freekick in the 80th minute to deny Barcelona’s goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen a clean sheet.

This was the second loss of the season for newly promoted Leganes.

Atletico Madrid’s season is shaping up.

 

Both teams came into the match undefeated, but the advantage was with the home team.

 

After a winless start to the season, Atletico Madrid has  started a winning streak with a win over Sporting Gijon.

 

Two early goals from Atletico Madrid made the fixture an easy one to predict. Atletico Madrid were 2 goals up within the first six minutes and went to the break winning by three goals.

 

Eibar                          1-1             Sevilla

Eibar came from a goal down a man less to grab a draw against Sevilla.  Pedro Leon 64th minute goal gave Eibar a very hard fought draw at home.

 

Vietto had given Sevilla the lead in the 27th minute, and by the end of the half Eibar’s goalkeeper Yoel Rodriguez was sent off following a red card. It was the first of two red cards that Eibar received in this match.

 

The red card forced Eibar to substitute midfielder Bebe with goalkeeper Markel Areitio. Eibar loss a man and a substitution option.

 

Dani Garcia was sent off in the 84th minute, leaving Eibar to finish the match with 9 men.

 

Sevilla remains undefeated after four matches in the 2016/17 La Liga season.

 

Las Palmas           1-0       Malaga

Las Palmas got back to their winning ways after last week loss to Sevilla. They continue their amazing start to the season with a 1-0 home win over winless Malaga.

 

An early penalty decided the match.

Osasuna 0-0 Celta Vigo

Osasuna and Celta Vigo are both struggling to find wins in the 2016/17 La Liga season.

Athletic Club            2-1        Valencia

An early goal for Valencia couldn’t stop them from losing their fourth match of the season. It is four losses out of four matches for Valencia.

Aritz Aduriz scored the equalizer and the winning goal to give Athletic Club their second win of the season.

 

Villarreal                     2-1               Real Sociedad

Nicola Sansone scored two goals to give Villarreal a 2-1 victory over Real Sociedad. Alexandre Pato could have given Villarreal an earlier lead with a penalty, but he missed the opportunity by shooting wide.

Nicola Sansone match winning goal is a strong contender for goal of the season. A strike from over 50 meters away from the goal was able to beat the Geronimo Rulli in goal.

 

It was the second defeat for Real Sociedad, while Villarreal remains undefeated.

 

Espanyol                     0-2                       Real Madrid

Real Madrid continues the perfect start to the season with an away win at Espanyol.

A goal in each half was how Real Madrid kept their place on top of the La Liga table. Even without Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale playing, Real Madrid was expected to deliver results in this match.

Alaves 0-0 Deportivo La Coruna

After getting their first win of the season away at Camp Nou against the defending champions FC Barcelona, Alaves failed to find one at home against Deportivo La Coruna.  Both teams got a point from a goalless match.
