Espanyol came out on top in a 7-goal thriller against Las Palmas. The victory allowed Espanyol to open a comfortable 7-point gap between the two sides in the league standings.

Leganes got an early goal and held Sevilla to a point.

For a team that is in the title race, those were two valuable points dropped.
