  • Riccardo Orsolini scored from a penalty to give Bologna a 1-0 lead that lasted till the final whistle against Hellas Verona. Bologna narrowed the gap between the two teams down to 7 points.

  • Being down a man in the opening 10 minutes didn’t stop Spezia from leaving Turin with a point from a goalless draw with Torino.

  • Ernesto Torregrossa scored in the 81st-minute to complete the comeback for Sampdoria against Udinese. Torregrossa’s goal gave Sampdoria a 2-1 win to make up for their defeat in the last round (2-1 against Spezia). It’s now 7 league games without a win for Udinese. (4L and 3D).

  • Four in the first half and two in the second; Napoli trashed Fiorentina 6-0.

  • On the balance of play, it was a closer game than what the score projected.
Bottom table Crotone won 4-1 at home against Benevento.

  • A late penalty saved Sassuolo from a defeat at home to Parma.

  • Atalanta were held at home by Genoa to a goalless draw.
