As expected, Roma did not slip against relegation zoned Crotone and held on to the second-place spot in the league standings. Edin Dzeko missed a chance to double his score and give Roma an early lead when he failed to convert a penalty kick in the 17th minute. It was a goal that would have made Dzeko the top scorer in the league.
