Round 25 of the Italian Serie A was started with Juventus getting the result that will extend or very least maintain the gap they’ve created between themselves and the rest of the Serie A table.
It is surely looking like Juventus is going in for another Serie A league title. Ivaylo Chochev late goal for Palermo denied Juventus a clean sheet, but the victory was convincing.
February 18, 2017
Atalanta 1-0 Crotone
Andrea Conti 48’
Crotone remains in the relegation zone of the standings after falling 1-0 away at Atalanta. It was the fourth consecutive league defeat for recently promoted Crotone.
Empoli 1-2 Lazio
Rade Krunic 67’ Ciro Immobile 68’
Balde Diao Keita 80’
After dropping points against AC Milan, Lazio couldn’t afford another slip.
Lazio came quickly from a goal down to eventually getting an important goal that gave them an away victory against Empoli.
Empoli is now winless in four straight matches. Three losses and a draw.
February 19, 2017
Bologna 0-1 Inter Milan
Gabriel 81’
It was another close score between Inter Milan and Bologna. Recent meetings between the two clubs have ended in a draw or a 1 goal win margin for Inter Milan. Gabriel Barbosa’s 81’st minute goal for Inter Milan was the difference maker.
Pescara 5-0 Genoa
Lucas Alfonso 5’(o.g)
Gianluca Caprari 19’ 81’
Ahmad Benali 31’
Alberto Cerri 87’
And this is how you get win #2.
Pescara demolished Genoa to get their second victory in the 2016-17 Serie A season.
Despite being and remaining at the bottom of the table, recently-promoted Pescara unleashed a ‘5-0’ beating on Genoa.
Sampdoria 1-1 Cagliari
Fabio Quagliarella 22’ Mauricio Isla 6’
A point was shared between the two sides after Sampdoria came from an early goal down to avoid defeat at home.
Udinese 1-2 Sassuolo
Seko Fofana 7’ Grégoire Defrel 70’ 79’
An early lead could not help Udinese avoid a consecutive league defeat. Gregoire Defrel scored two (relatively quick) second-half goals for Sassuolo to come from a goal down and take all three points from Udinese.
Chievo Verona 1-3 Napoli
Riccardo Meggiorini 72’ Lorenzo Insigne 31’

Mohamed Salah 17’
Leandro Paredes 65’
Radja Nainggolan 90’+2’
The league top scorer; Edin Dzeko has now scored in 8 straight matches for Roma.
With Juventus winning their fixture in Round 25, Roma had no other choice but to get a win as well. And so they did.
Roma easily defeated Torino to maintain the 7-point gap Juventus has managed to create at the top of the league table.
