Gianluca Lapadula  scored late to rescue Mbaye Niang failed penalty kick that could have given Milan a lead earlier in the second half.

This victory over newly-promoted Crotone means that AC Milan has now gone five league matches without a defeat.  A run that keeps them four points from the top of the league.

A defeat for Roma would have been hard for fans to swallow.  Losing to their city rivals would have allowed Lazio to leap over Roma in the league standings.

Two second half goals  including a late goal made Torino’s trip a pointless one.

It was looking like and upset until a late goal in additional time secured the maximum points for Fiorentina.

After going down to a first-half penalty, Mato Jajalo scored a second-half equalizer for Palermo to level it up.

It was a goalless draw between Chievo Verona and Genoa. Valter Birsa missed a first-half  penalty that could have given Chievo Verona a goal to help them to a home victory.

Udinese leaped over Bologna in the league standings with a late goal in the final minute of the match.  It was a home win for Udinese that prevented a third consecutive league defeat .
