Two victories a piece got both Roman teams in the four Derby della Capitale played within the 2016/17 Serie A season.

Roma could get the points to take advantage of Juventus slip against Atalanta

A questionable penalty call allowed Roma to finish the first half on even terms, but Lazio scored all the goals in the second half to reinstall their lead and beat their local rival.

The best part about this victory for Lazio was the fact that they have helped to end Roma’s hopes of a Scudetto.
