Into the ‘Round of 16’ of the Copa del Rey – Atletico Madrid sits out.

2019/20 Spanish Copa del Rey

The smaller teams put up a good fight against the giants of Spanish football.
Some of the big teams managed to escape and move on to the Round of 16 but a good number failed to overcome
Losing 3-1 to Real Zaragoza made Mallorca was the first team from La Liga to be eliminated.

Barcelona survived a scare at Ibiza. Two late goals from Antoine Griezmann brought Barcelona from a goal down to pick up their ticket to advance to the next round.

Atletico Madrid was humiliated away against Leonesa.

Leganes was the only La Liga side to advance on the final day of the Round of 32 fixtures. Celta Vigo
Eibar, Atletico Madrid, and Real Betis were all eliminated on the day.

Athletic Club and Rayo Vallecano went through to the Round of 16 through penalty kickoffs.
Granada, Mirandes, and Leonesa needed extra time to find the win to advance.

Real Zaragoza, Tenerife, Mirandes. Leonesa, Badajoz, and Rayo Vallecano did the improbable by knocking out teams in the first division.
