Inter Milan tops the pile after 23 rounds into the 2019/20 Italian Serie A season.

Juventus was the only team in the top 4 that lost their match.
Cagliari falls from 6th to 8th in the standings.
Hellas Verona uses a win against Juventus to be part of the top 6.
Napoli drops out of the top half to lead the bottom half of the league table.

SPAL, Bresica, and Genoa remain the occupants of the relegation zone.
Genoa picked up a win to help their way out of the relegation, but Lecce and Sampdoria were also victorious over the round to move three points away from the relegation zone.

Cristinao Ronaldo joined the Ciro Immobile as the only players with 20+ goals in the league.
Ciro Immobile leads the pack with 25 goals.

Roma finished the match with 10 men and a defeat at home against Bologna.
Since being eliminated from the Coppa Italia, Roma has been winless in the league. They’ve picked up a point from their three matches played, and are on a losing streak.
The result handed Bologna their third straight win in the league.

Atalanta needed two goals in the second half to come from behind a pick up a victory against Fiorentina.
Back-to-back league defeat for Fiorentina.

It’s 5 straight defeats for Torino in all competitions.
Gaston Ramirez scored the equalizing and the winning goal for Sampdoria to earn three points on the road against Torino.

Hellas Verona came from behind to shock Juventus.
Verona wins ‘2-1’ to make it 8 straight matches unbeaten. Third league defeat for Juventus and consecutive away defeats in the league.

Jeremie Boga scored the winner in the 90th-minute for Sassuolo to complete the comeback and pick up three points through a ‘2-1’ victory against SPAL.
Sassuolo has recovered from three straight defeats in the league by going 4 matches without defeat. (3 wins and a draw). it was however SPAL’s third defeat in a row.

Rodrigo de Paul scored in injury time for Udinese to avoid a 5th straight defeat (in all competitions) while also denying Brescia a win.
Both teams scored after the 80th-minute mark.
Tough on Brescia. This makes it 8 matches without a win (5 defeats and 3 draws).

Goran Pandev’s goal in the 43rd-minute handed Genoa three points against Cagliari.
Cagliari are 9 league matches without a win. – This is a team that looked like they were gunning for a Champions League finish a few weeks ago.

Napoli were back in the slump after falling at home to Lecce.
Back-to-back wins in the league for recently promoted Lecce after their ‘4-0’ win against Torinoin the last round.

After failing to take full advantage of their match in hand, Lazio picked up the needed points to take advantage of Juventus slip in the title race.

Inter Milan found 4 goals in the second-half to overturn a 2-goal deficit and win the Milan Derby.
It looked like Inter Milan was going to fail to capitalize on Juventus’s defeat when they entered the break on the wrong side of a ‘2-0’ score against their city rival AC Milan.
At the half, Inter was third in the league behind Juventus and Lazio. In the end, they were on top of the league standings with Juventus and Lazio being their only real competition.
