Montpellier made it four straight winless league matches after a bad day in Marseille. They conceded three goals in the first half and two more in the second.

The victory allowed Marseille to open their lead over Montpellier to 10-points, and push their way to sixth place in the league standings.

Missed penalty came to bite Lorient in the back.

Abdul Majeed Waris failed to double goals in this match when he missed a penalty that could have given Lorient a lead in the 76th minute.

The penalty miss became very expensive when Pier Lees-Melou found the winning goal for Dijon to the away victory over Lorient.

Angers gained three points over Metz, but Metz has a match in hand that could potentially even points up.

With their two closest contenders(Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco) going against each other in this round of Ligue 1, this victory was a very important one for OGC Nice.

In a ‘top of the table clash’, Monaco scored late to get a point away against Paris Saint-Germain.

Both teams were on a three-match winning streak in the league and finished with a draw in this match. The point was enough to keep Monaco at the top of the Ligue 1 table for another round.

With OGC Nice getting a victory in their fixture against Guingamp, Paris Saint-Germain sits three points behind the two teams at third.
