French Ligue 1 – Round Nineteen

December 21, 2016

Saint-Etienne                                          0-0                         Nancy

Saint-Etienne couldn’t find a way to get a home victory against newly promoted Nancy as the match ended in a goalless draw.

Bordeaux                                              0-0                           OGC Nice

A goalless draw away at Bordeaux did not allow OGC Nice to stretch their lead at the top of the standings by the maximum points.

Two late red cards for Nice means they would have Mario Balotelli and Younes Belhanda suspended when Ligue 1 resumes after the winter break.

Lille                                                       1-1                         Rennes

Eder 89’                                                                              Paul-Georges Ntep 22’

Rennes was close to opening a 10-point gap between the two sides until Eder made up for his early penalty miss by scoring late to salvage a point at home for Lille.
