Two late goals from Martin Braithwaite gave Toulouse a win after Oscar Trejo’s 65th-minute equalizer.

 

Toulouse temporarily climbed into the top three in Ligue 1 with a win over second-place Monaco. Toulouse had to bounce from going down to an early goal in the first half to get all three points against Monaco.

After thrashing newly promoted FC Metz by seven goals, Monaco lost to Toulouse to create a bigger gap between themselves and league leaders Nice.  The loss allows Paris Saint-Germain to get even on points with Monaco with a win in their league match against newly promoted Nancy.

OGC Nice                2-0           Lyon

OGC Nice grabbed another win to remain the only undefeated team in the 2016/17 season of French Ligue 1.

 

A ‘2-0’ win over Lyon plus Toulouse defeat of Monaco opened up a four-point gap on the top of the league table for OGC Nice.

After going down to an early goal, things got worse for Lyon when they went down a man with the sending off of Nabil Fekir in the 29th minute.

 

Playing away from home, a goal behind, with a man down, against the league leaders was a battle that Lyon couldn’t win.

As expected, Paris Saint-Germain got a win over Nancy. It was closer than most would have expected.

Two early goals in the first half ensured that Paris Saint-Germain would keep pace with OGC Nice with an away win against newly promoted Nancy.

Nantes were able to put two wins together as they secured their third win of the season with an away win over Lorient. The loss keeps Lorient in the relegation zone.

Two goals from Famara Diedhiou gave Angers an away win over Bastia.

Guingamp 1-0 Lille

Sloan Privat 32’

 

After defeating Nancy to break a four-match losing streak, Lille got back to their losing ways with a loss against Guingamp.

 

Sloan Privat scored the deciding goal to give Guingamp a victory over Lille. A win that keeps Guingamp in position for a place in European competition.

They started the match even on points on the league table and finished as they were. Bordeaux and Rennes couldn’t find a way separate themselves.

 

With home advantage and getting on the scoreboard first, Rennes might feel like they lost an opportunity grab their third win of the season.

 

Saint-Etienne                     1-1          Dijon

After going down to first half goal, a late penalty deep into the additional time of the second half allowed Saint-Etienne to save themselves from a shocking home defeat against newly-promoted Dijon.

 

Marseille                                 1-0           Metz

Marseille moved a point away from newly-promoted FC Metz with a ‘1-0’ home win.  Bafetimbi Gomis goal in the 13th minute was the decider.
