French Ligue 1 after Round 11 – Paris St. German’s lead at the top of the standing is reduced.

 

 

Lille were the only team in the top four to pick up a win over the round.

Paris St. Germain’s lead at the top of the table was reduced to 2 points after Lille used a win against Lorient in the final match of the round to capitalize on their defeat.
Monaco beat PSG to end the round in 4th place.
Lyon moved to third with a narrow win.
The match between Marseille and Nice was called off.
Rennes opened the round with a defeat against Bordeaux.

Saint-Etienne continues to drop down the table.
A win against Reims allowed Nimes to jump out of the bottom three.
Dijon and Strasbourg stayed where they are in the relegation zone after suffering defeats.

Marseille and Lens have two games in hand.
Nantes and Nice have a game in hand.

  • Hatem Ben Arfa scored the only goal of the match to hand Bordeaux the three points at Rennes.
  • Monaco rallied back from two goals down to snap PSG’s 8-match winning streak. Kylian Mbappe two goals to send Paris St. Germain to the break with a 2-0 lead.
    Kevin Volland scored two in the second half to get Monaco level, Cesc Fabregas converted from the penalty spot in the 84th-minute to seal the three points for Monaco. The result is a 3-match winning streak in the league for Monaco.
  • 5 first half goals led to Saint-Etienne suffering their 7th straight league defeat in the league. Saint-Etienne finished on the wrong end of a 4-1 score against Brest.
  • Points shared between Nantes and Metz after a 1-1 draw.
  • Dijon left at the bottom of the league table without a win in 11 matches after a 1-0 home defeat against recently promoted Lens.
  • Andy Delort scored two and assisted Gaetan Laborde to score the winning goal for Montpellier to finish on the right end of a 4-3 score line against Strasbourg. The victory made it three in a row for Montpellier, while marking the third defeat in a row for Strasbourg.
  • Nimes put an end to 4 defeats in a row with a narrow 1-0 win at Reims.
  • Tino Kadewere went from scoring a brace to get Lyon from a goal down to a win against Saint-Etienne in the last round to scoring the only goal of the match in the 78th minute for Lyon to take another three points from a win against Angers.
  • Yusuf Yazici opened the scoring for the match with 2 goals for Lille to go on and grab a convincing 4-0 win against Lorient.
