It was quite an even contest, and Strasbourg could’ve gotten something out of it in the end, but Reims’ two-goal lead in the first half was enough to get them a 2-1 home win over Strasbourg.

Lyon lose at Lens. Wesley Said’s goal in the 26th minute ended up being the difference-maker after Przemyslaw Frankowski and Jake O’Brien both scored a brace for their team in a game that finished with Lyon suffering a 3-2 defeat in Lens. On the balance of play, Lyon should not be struggling in the league as they are.

Nice suffered their first league defeat of the season. Nice’s unbeaten run in Ligue 1 came to a halt with a 1-0 defeat at Nantes. Florent Mollet scored the only goal of the game in the 25th minute to give Nantes their first win in five league matches.

Despite being forced into two early substitutions and having a man sent off, Paris St. Germain came away from Le Havre with all three points. Kylian Mbappe scored the winning goal in the 23rd minute, and Vitinha added an insurance goal in the 89th minute. The victory allowed PSG to take full advantage of Nice’s defeat.

Brest earned back-to-back victories after five consecutive winless games, defeating Clermont 3-0.

Monaco rebounded from their 5-2 loss to PSG in the previous round with a 2-0 victory over Montpellier. Montpellier has now gone five games without a win, with three of those defeats. Ahmadou Dieng’s goal in the first minute of stoppage time saved Lorient from a loss in Toulouse.

Metz missed two penalties and fell to a 2-0 defeat at Lille. Simon Elisor’s miss in the 29th minute would have given Metz the lead, and Lamin Camara’s miss in the 56th minute would have halved the deficit. Lille scored two goals in first-half stoppage time to take a 2-0 lead that they would not relinquish.

Marseille, with a game in hand, moved two points clear of Rennes after defeating them 2-0. This was Marseille’s first league win in five games.
