FRENCH LIGUE 2: THE LAST ROUND OF THE SEASON.

Only the top two teams in Ligue 2 will be promoted to Ligue 1.
Le Havre faces Dijon, who are in the relegation zone, Bordeaux faces Rodez, who are also in danger of being relegated, and Metz will have a tougher challenge against Bastia, who are in fourth place.

LIGUE 2 STANDINGS AFTER 37 ROUNDS
1| Le Havre – 72 points.
2| Metz – 69 points.
3| Bordeaux – 69 points.
4| Bastia – 60 points.

June 2.
Le Havre vs. Dijon
Metz vs. Bastia
Bordeaux vs. Rodez

Last season, Metz and Bordeaux were relegated to Ligue 2 along with Saint-Etienne. While Saint-Etienne has struggled in Ligue 2, both Metz and Bordeaux have been working hard to secure promotion back to Ligue 1.

It is possible that both Metz and Bordeaux could quickly return to Ligue 1, but it seems unlikely with Le Havre leading the title race. It is highly probable that either Metz or Bordeaux will be promoted alongside Le Havre on the last day of the season.

FA CUP: A Manchester derby for the 2023 FA Cup final.

June 3. FA Cup final – Manchester City vs. Manchester United.

Manchester City, the Premier League champions, will face Manchester United, the League Cup winners, in the FA Cup final.

Manchester City is seeking to win a treble, which would be the first time an English club has done so since Manchester United in 1998-99. Manchester United, on the other hand, has a chance to prevent Manchester City from winning the treble and remain the only English club to have won a treble. Manchester City won the FA Cup most recently in 2019, while Manchester United won it most recently in 2016. Manchester City has won the FA Cup six times, while Manchester United has won it 12 times.

Fun fact: Chelsea have been the losers in the last three FA Cup finals.

DFB-Pokal final: RB Leipzig vs. Eintracht Frankfurt

June 3. DFB Pokal Final – RB Leipzig vs. Eintracht Frankfurt.

RB Leipzig will face Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2023 DFB-Pokal final. Leipzig are looking to retain the title they won last year, while Frankfurt are looking to win their sixth title. Leipzig had a 16-point advantage over Frankfurt in the Bundesliga and have qualified for the Champions League as a result, so Frankfurt will be motivated by the fact that a win will secure them a place in the Europa League.
Leipzig beat Hoffenheim, Borussia Dortmund, and Freiburg in the previous rounds of the DFB-Pokal, while Frankfurt beat Darmstadt, Union Berlin, and Stuttgart.

SPANISH LA LIGA:

June 4.

OSASUNA vs. GIRONA
Real Madrid vs. ATHLETIC CLUB
Mallorca vs. RAYO VALLECANO

The top four teams were confirmed in the penultimate round. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, and Real Sociedad secure their places and will qualify for the Champions League through the league. Sevilla joins them as the Europa League winners.

Now, the focus shifts to the Conference League playoff spot, with four teams competing (Osasuna, Athletic Club, Girona, and Rayo Vallecano), and the relegation avoidance race with six teams under threat (Cádiz, Getafe, Valencia, Almería, Celta Vigo, and Valladolid).

Osasuna must defeat Girona to maintain their qualification spot for the Conference League, as the two teams are separated by just one point.
Athletic Club and Rayo Vallecano need victories in their matches to capitalize on the Osasuna vs. Girona clash. Athletic Club faces a tough challenge against Real Madrid, while Rayo Vallecano will travel to face Mallorca.

STANDINGS:
7| Osasuna – 50 points
8| Athletic Club – 50 points
9| Girona – 49 points
10| Rayo Vallecano – 49 points.

THE RELEGATION AVOIDANCE RACE in La LIGA:

VALLADOLID vs. GETAFE
CELTA VIGO vs. Barcelona
Espanyol vs. ALMERIA
Real Betis vs. VALENCIA
Elche vs. CADIZ

Relegation looms for six teams on the final day of the season: Cádiz (41 points), Getafe (41 points), Valencia (41 points), Almería (40 points), Celta Vigo (40 points), and Valladolid (39 points).
For all six teams, the priority is to avoid defeat at all costs and fight for a crucial win.

If Getafe defeats Valladolid, all the teams above them will secure safety. However, Getafe has struggled against Valladolid in their recent league meetings, losing three in a row. Another defeat could relegate Getafe while saving Valladolid.

Almería’s head-to-head record won’t protect them if Valladolid manages a draw. Almería must secure a win against relegated Espanyol to ensure their safety. Celta Vigo, on the other hand, will be safe if Valladolid doesn’t win, but a Valladolid victory would mean that Celta Vigo must triumph against Barcelona to secure their spot.

STANDINGS:
13| Cadiz – 41 points
14| Getafe – 41 points
15| Valencia – 41 points
16| Almeria – 40 points
17| Celta Vigo – 40 points
18| Valladolid – 39 points

ITALIAN SERIE A:

The top four positions in Serie A have already been determined, with both Milan clubs securing qualification for the Champions League in the upcoming season, alongside Lazio and Napoli. The competition for the two Europa League spots is now between Atalanta, Roma, and Juventus, with the team finishing in third dropping down to the Europa Conference League.
Juventus will be away against Udinese, Atalanta will host Monza, and Roma will host Spezia, a side that is also desperate for points to avoid relegation.
Hellas Verona and Spezia are the two teams battling to avoid relegation. They are both on 31 points and are playing away against clubs that are currently positioned in the top 5. Hellas Verona is away against AC Milan, and Spezia is away against Roma.

The race for the two Europa League spots:

June 4.
Udinese vs. JUVENTUS
ATALANTA vs. Monza
Roma vs. SPEZIA

In the relegation battle, Hellas Verona and Spezia will be the two clubs fighting the drop.

June 4.
AC Milan vs. HELLAS VERONA
Roma vs. SPEZIA

THE FRENCH LIGUE 1

Lille, Rennes, and Monaco are competing for qualification spots in the Europa League and Conference League. If Monaco or Rennes win their matches, Lille will need a victory to secure their Europa League qualification. Both Rennes and Monaco have a chance to secure a qualification spot with a win. Currently, Rennes holds the Conference League qualification spot but aims to surpass Lille and move up to the Europa League spot. With a better goal difference than Lille, Rennes only needs to match their points to overtake them. As it stands, Monaco will not participate in continental cup football next season, but this could change if they win their home match against Toulouse and both Lille and Rennes fail to win their matches.

June 3.
MONACO vs. Toulouse

Brest vs. RENNES
Troyes vs. LILLE

Although Nantes may enter the final round of the season in the relegation zone, considering the quality of their opponents, they have a good chance of avoiding relegation and swapping positions with Auxerre.

The relegation battle is primarily between Nantes and Auxerre. Nantes can escape the relegation zone if they accumulate the same number of points as Auxerre, thanks to their superior goal difference. To achieve this, Nantes must secure a victory against the already relegated Angers, while also hoping that Lens (currently in 2nd place) can prevent Auxerre from winning.

June 3.
NANTES vs. Angers
AUXERRE vs. Lens
