Chelsea beat Real Madrid to join Manchester City in the final of the 2021 UEFA Champions League.

All-English final.

Manchester City and Chelsea will go at it for the 2021 UEFA Champions League title.

Chelsea reached their third Champions League final (2008, 2012, and now 2021).
Manchester City reached their first-ever final.

Chelsea has won the competition once, and are in the position to double their titles.
Manchester City is in search of their first title and could be doing so in their first final appearance.

Manchester City and Chelsea did not make their first-leg advantage go to waste in the second leg.
Riyad Mahrez scored a brace in the second leg to add to Manchester City’s 2-1 lead from Paris.

Chelsea kept Real Madrid from getting the away goal they needed to make things interesting in the second leg.
Timo Werner had a goal called for offside before heading into an open net, a chance created by N’golo Kante.

Chelsea has been beaten twice since Thomas Tuchel took charge, and only one of those defeats was a meaningful defeat. They’ve also beaten Manchester City in a final this season (FA Cup).  It will take some doing to do a double but it is far from impossible in a one-off match.

Manchester City –
Winner in Group C
4-0 (agg) winners against Monchengladbach in the Round of 16.
4-2 (agg) winners against Dortmund in the Quarter-finals.
4-1 (agg) winners against Paris St. Germain in the Semi-finals.

Chelsea –
Won Group E: winners
3-0 (agg) winners against Atletico Madrid in the Round of 16
2-1 (agg) winners against Porto in the Quarter-finals
3-1 (agg) winners against Real Madrid in the Semi-finals.

For the managers, Pep Guardiola would be going for his third CL title if Manchester City are winners in the final, while Thomas Tuchel will be going for his first after losing the final last year with Paris St. Germain.
